Day 1

Skis ready for tomorrow!

We arrive in Selva in the evening and spot the snowcats grooming the slopes, if I could, I’d be skiing already. We park at the hotel and leave our skis at Olga Ski Rent next door for a quick tune-up. A relaxed aperitif with a local beer, followed by a refined four-course dinner at Rigais Restaurant to start right. A good sleep is mandatory, tomorrow is all about speed.

Day 2

The thrill of the Legendary 8

An early start for the Legendary 8—36 km of pure adrenaline. We collect our skis and passes and head straight to the lift. The slopes are perfectly groomed and almost empty. Ciampinoi No. 3 is the perfect opener. We stop at Baita Ciadinat for a proper skier’s lunch, then take on Dantercepies and the black Cir run. Legs done, sauna at the hotel is the perfect finish.

Day 3

Just like the World Cup

Day 3

Just like the World Cup

We head to breakfast already in ski gear: bread, cheese, eggs, and a foamy cappuccino. Warm boots from the ski room and we’re off to the Saslong, the same slope we’ve watched so many times on TV. Then comes the Gardenissima. It’s hard to say what impresses us more: the flawless groomers or the views. On the way back, it’s all about turns, speed, and the next run.
