We arrive in Campitello di Fassa late in the evening. Welcoming us is Francesco’s warm smile as he hands over the keys to our room. Just a few steps into our cozy, welcoming suite are enough to realize we will truly relax here: the atmosphere is intimate, the bed invitingly comfortable. We lower the blinds, turn off our phones, and settle in for a deep, restorative night’s sleep.

Relaxation, Thoughtful Touches, and Snow Walks

Day 2

Relaxation, Thoughtful Touches, and Snow Walks

Waking up without a rush is a small luxury I am no longer used to. We go down for breakfast with all the time in the world: having notified them a few days in advance, the staff prepared a special gluten-free selection just for me, alongside fresh local produce and delicious yogurt from the local dairy.
We spend the morning taking a peaceful stroll from Campitello towards Canazei along the Avisio stream, immersed in the quiet of the snow. The afternoon is entirely dedicated to wellness in the Garneta SPA, relaxing among saunas, the Turkish bath, the hot tub, and warm herbal teas in the relaxation area. For dinner, following the reception’s recommendation, we choose Rampeer restaurant in Campitello — excellent for celiacs as well —, before returning for a wonderful night’s rest.

Day 3

Romantic Dinner Close to the Sky

Day 3

Romantic Dinner Close to the Sky

The morning starts with a truly indulgent moment: Roberto picks a slice of traditional Linzer Torte and his face says it all. My gluten-free option is equally delicious — thank you, Garni Aritz!
We decide to take the bus — free for guests — to Pozza di Fassa for a stroll through the village center, browsing local souvenir shops and gourmet food stores just as suggested. After enjoying the spa, opened early just for us with a small extra fee, we get ready for the evening: a romantic dinner in a mountain hut in Val Duron awaits.
The snowmobile ride up under a clear, starry sky is an unforgettable thrill. All around us, we catch glimpses of night ski tourers ascending in the quiet magic of the moonlit valley (an experience we promised ourselves to try next time!). Dinner at high altitude is the perfect ending to a truly special day.

Day 4

Wishing the Holiday Would Never End

Day 4

Wishing the Holiday Would Never End

Time has flown by, and it is already time to leave. We say goodbye to our suite and retrieve the car, which remained safe in the covered garage throughout our entire stay.
Before leaving the valley, we follow the reception’s valuable tips one last time: we stop at Carpano to stock up on local food specialties and make a brief visit to the La Sportiva factory outlet in Ziano for some discounted outdoor gear.
We head back home with hearts full of gratitude. Val di Fassa and Garni Aritz, this is definitely just a see-you-soon!

Weather tips

In winter, daylight fades quickly (around 4:30–5:00 PM), so plan your outings accordingly. If you stay out after sunset, remember to bring a headlamp.
