Highlights
“We are two families with young children: San Martino is perfect. Easy walks, authentic atmosphere, great value, and beautiful views.”
After check-in, we head straight to Baita Segantini, one of our favourite spots. In less than an hour we reach the small lake, right below the Pale di San Martino. The kids play on the grass, build little stone towers, and run around freely. We stay for dinner and watch the mountains turn orange at sunset, truly special.
Slow morning, with a simple breakfast at the residence. Today we hike to the Colbricon Lakes, about two hours, mostly through the woods, with beautiful views along the way. It’s an easy trail, perfect with kids. In the afternoon, some relax by the pool, then dinner at a nearby restaurant and an early bedtime.
Before heading home, we take one last easy walk to Malga Crel, recommended by the staff. The path is wide and gentle, suited for strollers. We have lunch, say hello to the animals, and enjoy the quiet mountain atmosphere one last time. In the afternoon, it’s time to leave, but we’re already thinking about coming back.
Small backpacks, sunscreen (SPF 50+), snacks, and comfortable shoes for easy walks.
Park your car and move by foot or free public transport: it’s free, easy and more relaxing.
Check the forecast before heading out. In the mountains, weather can change quickly, avoid long walks if rain is expected.
