Day 1

Easy arrival, great location

Day 1

Easy arrival, great location

We arrive at Residence Contrin and immediately notice how convenient it is: close to the lifts and easy to move around. The apartment is spacious, perfect for five, with a small kitchen and a balcony facing the mountains. Tip: book the garage in advance and be careful with large cars, it’s a bit tight.

Day 2

Skiing for me, fun for everyone

Day 2

Skiing for me, fun for everyone

I start early and enjoy a full day on the slopes: long runs, great snow, and not too crowded. Meanwhile, my wife and kids take it easy, finish some homework then head to Canazei Fun Park for tubing and games. In the evening, all together again, we share the best stories of the day.

Day 3

Horses in the snow

Day 3

Horses in the snow

Morning skiing with the kids: they love it and keep improving. In the afternoon, we go horse riding. The owner, Charlotte, tells us about her project to rescue abused horses and then takes us on a splendid ride through the snow-covered woods. Camilla is very excited, and the ride is calm and beautiful. A different experience we will all remember.

Day 4

Everyone on the slopes

Day 4

Everyone on the slopes

Today the whole family skis together: even my wife and Camilla try snowboarding. The slopes are wide and perfect for all levels, with amazing views of the Dolomites. We ski back towards the village in the afternoon. Later, pool time for the kids and spa for us at Dolaondes.

Day 5

Sledge day in Val San Nicolò

Day 5

Sledge day in Val San Nicolò

No skis today, just sleds. We head to Val San Nicolò and enjoy the long snowy run. It quickly turns into a friendly competition, with lots of laughs (and a few falls). Lunch at the hut makes it even better.

Day 6

Last runs and slow moments

Day 6

Last runs and slow moments

Last full day. Some of us go skiing again, others choose a quiet walk in the snow. We enjoy the sun, the views, and take it easy. In the evening, one last dinner out, simple and relaxed.

Day 7

Time to go

Day 7

Time to go

Time to pack and head home. It’s been a great week, active but also easy, perfect with kids. We’re already thinking about coming back, maybe even in summer.
