Day 1

Welcome to 1,500 metres

In Florence, the heat was unbearable. I turned to Luca and said, “Let’s escape to the mountains!” No sooner said than done, we were on our way to Ambiez in Madonna di Campiglio. As soon as we arrived, we relaxed by the pool, cooled off on the garden sun loungers, and enjoyed a stress-free dinner in the apartment with takeaway pizza from the on-site restaurant. What a treat!

Amolacqua Trail

Day 2

Amolacqua Trail

We booked the half-board option as we wanted to just relax. After a hearty breakfast, we drove to Val Nambrone and hiked the Amolacqua trail, an hour to the waterfalls along an emerald stream. We enjoyed a picnic prepared by the hotel on soft green grass, then returned refreshed and happy. In the evening, dinner at Lares restaurant was perfect: steaming canederli and a fine grappa to end the day in style.

Lake Montagnoli

Day 3

Lake Montagnoli

Today we woke up early and ate breakfast in the garden with homemade cakes and pancakes. After checking out, we took a stroll to Lake Montagnoli, just half an hour away, a stunning spot for a refreshing dip on hotter day. Feeling playful, we tried the Adventure Park too! After lunch at the mountain hut, it was already time to head home, fully recharged.
